Vernissage Moving Murals Hagalund, Friday 2 februari

Come and see a unique piece of art on a facade in in the Stockholm suburb of Solna on Friday the 2nd of February at 5.30 pm! The Mexican street art collective LaPiztola together with Swedish artist duo Performing Pictures have created a piece that mixes film and muralism that will be on display from Friday night and throughout February on a facade behind Gelbgjutarevägen 7 in Hagalund, Solna. Here you get a small sneak peak at the work.

The unique work, called the Kanin Bird, rises on a facade at the parking lot behind Black Sheep’s premises, where LaPiztola’s part of the work, a stencilmural, is already visible. In the evening, this will be adorned with video overlays created by Performing Pictures, but also a guestbook of films created by young filmmakers from Solna Stads activities RAW MATERIAL / Black Sheep and Uncut, as well as Kungl. Art College, which all interact with the work.

The nearest bus stop for local traffic is Industrivägen. The following buses stop at Industrivägen:

Bus 67 – Coming from Karlsbergsvägen near St. Eriksplan in the direction of Frösundavik. If you go to Solna station by commuter train, then bus 67 goes from there towards Skansen.

Bus 506 – By the blue line towards Akalla and get off at Solna center you can take bus 506 towards Karolinska Hospital.

Bus 507 – If you are from Odenplan, you can take bus 507 from Vanadisvägen towards Tomteboda Post Terminal.

During the day there will also be a seminar with Swedish and international lecturers on film, urban art and architecture, and its intersections.
